When to announce pregnancy?

First pregnancy with my husband! I’ll be about 8 or so weeks by Thanksgiving. I was going to wait until Christmas to tell my family but I know whenever Thanksgiving comes and I’m not drinking wine like I’ve always enjoyed doing they are going to know! It would just be siblings/spouses and my parents. Is that too soon? 
And then I think I might tell the rest of the world on Christmas with some cute Christmas pictures. What do you think?

Get a fake wine and drink it lol. I think before Christmas with a picture is a really cute idea. Just pretend to be drinking wine by drinking something else that looks similar. If someone pours it for you, just swap out the glass when you have a chance.

I told my close family at Thanksgiving and I was 8 weeks ! And then my inlaws at just over 11 weeks. It's whatever you are comfortable with, but it's nice having your whole family there to celebrate 🥰!

We told our parents around 6 weeks and siblings around 8, the rest of the family around 11/12w

I'd say announce it then or say you're on antibiotics for a sinus infection or something so you can't drink.

No right or wrong answer! Some people tell others as soon as they get that first positive test, and others wait.
It's up to you when you feel comfortable.
I waited until I was out of the first trimester because I had multiple miscarriages and didn't want to have to tell everyone they didn't work out. But that's what worked for me!

Up to you, I told my family by 8wks after we had our dating scan. We waited to share publicly until 15wks with this pregnancy. We did have a loss with our first pregnancy and I was so glad to have shared with my close friends and family before than because it meant I had a ton of support from them. We did wait longer to share the second time though. Do what feels best to you!

It’s your call, we told my husbands parents at 9 weeks once we had the first ultrasound and heard the heartbeat, told my parents the following week at 10 weeks. It was important to us to tell our parents in person, the rest of the family got a text with our ultrasound photo or a phone call. Our families live 5-6 hours apart so we told them as it panned out where we could see them both in a close span of each other. I also think as a mama you can gauge if it’s a healthy pregnancy, for me hearing baby’s heartbeat and the doctor having zero concern/hesitation I felt ok to tell them before being done with first trimester
