Plan B effectiveness?

How effective is plan b if it’s taken during your ovulation? My period started on the 19th of October and ended the 26th. I had unprotected sex on the 1st of Nov. The app says I was ovulating but I thought ovulation wasn’t until a week before your next period so that was my fault for not being more careful and having unprotected sex. I’m just curious how effective it will be because I took a plan b two hours after unprotected sex.

You can ovulate anytime after your period ends which is why going by the app is pointless. Start using opks to track so you won’t get pregnant. No app knows when you ovulate and randomly taking plan b won’t help.

It is not effect if you are ovulating it is meant to be taken before ovulation as it delays ovulation, but if you already did it can’t stop it. You normally ovulate 2 weeks before your next period not one week.

Depends. Plan B is just a regular birth control pill designed to stop ovulation. If you haven’t ovulated yet you are in the clear. I have had 100% success rate with plan B in the past. It’s just a “wait and see if it worked” deal. But you really should be using some other kind of birth control in future.
