birth control

hi everyone! hopefully this is the right group for this but i’m planning to go on birth control soon and i think i want to take the pill. i’ve always been a condom girl but i’ve been in a relationship for almost two years and now i’m over it haha. i’m going to talk to the doctor when i go to get more info but i’m just wondering what pill anyone uses/if it works for you and any side effects you have. i’m worried about weight gain, mental health changes, irregular bleeding, a bunch of things honestly which i know are all risks but i want to hear some opinions. thanks in advance :)
