Do I need blood tests to confirm

So on sunday I had some nasea and decided to take a test and it looked like a really faint line. Yesterday I took another test and the line was darker so I did a digital test and it says Pregnant. But my doctor wants me to come in for blood tests to confirm pregnancy. Is that necessary? The start of my last cycle was 12 October. So I am currently 3 weeks and 6 days

In my experience and with most women I know blood test is not necessary to confirm if you have positive tests. For myself and the women I know the OBGYN just sets and appointment for around 8 weeks for the first prenatal exam and ultrasound. Some doctors are different though.

I never got my blood taken for hcg levels or anything Like that I've only had to do a pee test and confirm it that way I think if your Dr thinks it's necessary I would do it
