Okay I turned 19 on Oct 29 and I’ve been sexually active since 18. My mom is religious, super condescending, very much my way or the highway. I still live with her to save money from FAFSA to buy my own house when I graduate. The issue is that I don’t know whether I should tell her that I’m sexually active because I’m tired of having to be home at an unreasonable time (9:00pm - 10:00pm) for someone my age with the amount of responsibilities I have (I pay my car, insurance, phone, gas, school, etc and work at a vet hospital as a nurse) when I just want to stay over at my boyfriends, or a friend, or just go party. I’m going to a family trip with my boyfriend to North Carolina and she expects everyone in his family to conform and separate all the girls and boys (who are all sexually active and their SO coming along). It’s so ridiculous. So I don’t know if I should tell her that I’m sexually active to make her wake up to reality or just stay quiet and try to get freedom little by little and make an appointment myself to a gynecologist to get on BC because I’ve had 1 scare and never again do I want to go through that. Thoughts?
