Baby not gaining weight

This happened with my first and I am DEVASTATED!!

With my first I tried EBF but she wasn’t gaining weight. The doctors kept telling me I need to supplement with formula. As soon as I did my baby wanted nothing to do with nursing. It was a very saddening experience. It was the closest to being depressed I have ever been. I just wanted to EBF. My milk supply dropped and I had to give up breastfeeding all together.

This time around I started prepping with lactation supportive foods before labor and immediately after labor. My husband has been monitoring my water intake. I have even seen a lactation consultant three times (my babes is only 2 weeks old). The lactation appointments were going great! She was gaining weight appropriately. But then she stopped gaining weight this last week. She had her 2 week appointment and her pediatrician suggested supplementing with formula 😭

NOT AGAIN!!!!
