Severe cramping with IUD
UPDATE: I started having nausea on Friday and it’s gotten worse over the past couple days. I’ve been really dizzy too, but I haven’t been bleeding at all. I seriously do not know what’s going on and I can’t get in with my doctor until December 1st. If anyone has any advice or tips pleaseeee let me know!
Hi all!
So I just had my Mirena replaced in March this year. I stopped getting my period about 6 months into having my first IUD, and I haven’t had any since getting it replaced. But today I started having cramps, and these are way worse than any period cramps I had prior to getting my IUD (which were debilitating). I’ve been taking Midol and using a heating pad but they are getting progressively worse.
I checked my strings and they feel really short, maybe like 1cm long, but my doctor said they were on the shorter side when I initially got it placed. I’m not sure if my IUD has moved or what.
Has anyone had problems with their IUD moving or any severa cramping a few months into having the IUD? If so, what was going on and what did you have to do?
