Let me preface this by saying if we got pregnant it wouldn’t be ideal but not the end of the world. I am not getting on birth control again

Yep, have always used it with my husband and never a problem. We’re married though 
And had something come of it then that would have been ok. It’s all about the acceptable level of risk you’re willing to have. If you want a super effective method then this Isn’t it.

I would recommend looking into Natural Family planning , and top it off with pull out on Fertile window! Temp log it check cm log it also I can use opks to be extra safe and you don’t need to pull out until you go into fertile window which is usually make you only fertile 10-15 days a month usually 5 days before ovulation and 5 days after to be extra save , if your cycles are regular that even better and easier for you , The more we are intone with our bodies the better!

So my husband and I have been using fertility awareness method for 7 or 8 years now and we only got pregnant when we tried to get pregnant.
I don't want to say that straight up and pull out method is what worked for us because fertility awareness method you actually track your cycle and avoid sex during your fertile period as well as always pulling out anytime you have sex.
So with always pulling out and completely avoiding sex during my entire fertile week and tracking ovulation to make sure I'm not having sex at the wrong time YES this method has worked very well for us for many years.
