Advise

I normally tend to religiously take my birth control an hour after I take my thyroid medication everyday but on Thursday, I was feeling so overwhelmed and my depression was kicking in that I forgot to take it. I took 2 pills at 7pm that same day since I didn't take it at my regular time. My boyfriend and I haven't had sex for 3 days and we wanted to do it last night but we didn't cuz I didn't know if it would be safe since I took my pill hours later than usual. Do you think it would be safe if we had sex or should we just wear a condom for a few days?
