12 days late but ovulating

Hey, my period is 12 days late and for curiosities sake, I took both a pregnancy test and an ovulation test. pregnancy test was negative but my ovulation test was positive. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen and where to go from here. My husband and I have been trying for a baby since February and my period has just progressively gotten later and later. My doctor wont even talk to me about fertility, and says no OBGYN will either, until we have been trying for a year with no sucess. Any advice would be great!
