My sister thinks this is controlling ….

My coworker just changed jobs 2 weeks ago. Last week he called me 2x.

My sister doesn’t know him so idk why she is saying this. First time he called he asked me how I was doing and how’s everything at work. We ended the call fairly quickly and said he’d happy Im doing fine.

He knows I’m looking for another job so he said “i really am going to tell my friend about that position I told you about, it would make me really happy to see you happy”

2 nights ago, he called but I was asleep. It was 10:13pm. He called last night again and had him on speaker because I was giving myself a pedicure. My sister heard…

So I apologized for not answering but told him I had knocked out and he said he figured and sorry for calling late. But then he said “I was hoping you were not with your ex.” He laughs and I laugh too.

So back when we were coworkers he knew about an ex who cheated on me.

He then says he just calls to “check in”

He only has called 2x within that week

Because I had a controlling ex now my sister is making a big deal saying

1. Why he is so concerned if I’m with my ex ?

2. He’s “Checking in” meaning he wants to know what I’m doing and therefore wants to keep me under his “supervision”

I find this quite odd all these theories of hers
