My ex bf and I had a bad breakup. Time passed and we started speaking again. Things were going well until he asked to borrow money. A year ago he bought a dodge Durango I’m TX and brought it to NY. Now he’s trying to transfer everything registered under TX state to NY. He said it costs roughly about $4k. I looked it up and it should cost less than $150 to do all of that. He asked to borrow $1k to $1.5k.

Am I wrong for thinking he’s lying? He keeps insisting on borrowing a lot. At first I told him now and then I started feeling bad cause what if he really needs money and I am denying to help. I just don’t trust him honestly.
