Expensive gift

been dating my bf for three years. he wants a Ps5. I work part time making 25/hr and still owe him for our vacation. he makes a lot more money than me so I don’t think he really understands how i’m struggling rn but I was thinking about buying the PS5 with the money I owe him from our vacation. he said he’s fine with that. is buying a gift that big for a bf advisable? idk I just never got someone that expensive of a gift but if I owe him the money anyways I guess it just makes sense?
