Some guy asked for my number. I just want to be friends. He hasn’t stated his intentions or asked my relationship status. He’s asked me to dinner. I told him I had a lot going on things were crazy, and that I work a lot but maybe we could plan later. He still has texted me in good morning and at night, and asked how my day at work was because that’s how we met. I have posted about this recently and agree that I need to be straight up that I’m not interested in dating. But I am obviously bad at that. I just got out of a relationship, thought I was ready, and found out I’m really not. I need to do so much healing and one is working on how to just be straight up instead of side stepping what I want to say. I just don’t know how to say it. What would be the best way to say that I just got out of a relationship and need to work on getting my stuff together and that I want to just be friends. Is it necessary to say I just got out of a relationship? Please give me ideas on how to say this. I don’t really want to be blunt, it’s very sweet what he’s doing, I’m just not ready.
