Typically we do not insert wand vibrators inside us, but that does not mean that it could not be done safely.
This vibrator looks like it is fully waterproof and sealed. The back end you pointed to is however not smooth and the metal may not be the healthiest thing to stick into your vagina where the fluids inside is acidic.
If you want to experiment, use the head. If it seems too big, just put it on your vaginal opening with a little bit of pressure. The sensitive part of your vagina is anyways the opening.. Personally I will wrap a condom around it and use some water based lube.
You may find that as you get more aroused and relaxed, more of the head will fit.
Other ways to play with a wand is to use it more indirectly, over pants or panties, over a hand, around your vulva rather than directly on your clitoris, or put it on/in a pillow and hump, or try different positions, sitting, standing, squatting, on your back, on your belly, doggy. You can also experiment with the pressure you apply.
Experimenting with your toy is a great idea, as long as you make sure it is safe (smooth, solid, clean, lubricated, and safe materials in contact with your insides).

I wouldn’t at all recommend using any toy outside of its intended use. I work in sex toy retail and often have customers bring in “faulty” toys, particularly wands like this, just to investigate the “fault” and clearly see  or be told by the customer it had been inserted when it wasn’t designed for that.
It may not only cause the wand to break/stop working, but you could potentially cause harm to yourself. 
There are heaps of options out there for vibrating dildos, probably ones exponentially cheaper than wands such as this one.
