Waiting two years??
So my boyfriend and I have been dating a year and a half. I just recently graduated college, so my plan was after this I would move out of my parents house into a little apartment with my puppy. I’ve been in college for roughly the past five years and my parents have always said don’t move out until you have a steady job snd your graduated, and now I am at that point. Problem is, my boyfriend now is against me moving out, because we want us to do that together, we both want to split a down payment on a little house together. Which sounds amazing to me and I want to be with him forever, problem is he says he wants to do this in about two years. He has a lot of financial things like buying another car he wants to do first. I respect that, but I just feel like this is a long time for me to wait just kinda sitting at my parents house saving money. Am I wrong for feeling this way? I feel like most people who are seriously dating and plan to have a future together don’t wait so long? I think I’m okay with this, but is it wrong for me to look at apartment leases in the meantime?
