How many outfits should I bring to the hospital?

FTM here and I have no idea what to pack for my daughter! Our hospital has a mandatory 2 day stay starting after we’re admitted to the recovery room. 
So far I have:
2 zip footie pajamas
3 long sleeve onesies 
1 short sleeve onesie 
1 pair of mittens
1 pair of socks
Swaddle blanket and beanie (for photos)
And a coming home outfit 
Is this too much, the perfect amount, or should I pack more?

I’m a labor and delivery nurse- you need a coming home outfit and MAYBE one more cute fit if you’re staying two days. A sleeper if you need. 
Don’t over pack. The hospital has so much you’ll bring home.

I brought 1 for me and baby to go home in and my husband an extra change of boxer/socks. I was in the hospital gown the whole time and baby was always t just in a diaper and a blanket being held or doing skin to skin.

Honestly, my kids stayed in the hospital blanket a lot of the time cause it’s easier for nurses to come check them and for diaper changes. I think what you’ve packed is fine though, but I don’t think you need more

That sounds perfect! I loved getting to dress our little ones in the outfits we bought some use whatever the hospital has but I thought it was nice getting to dress our little ones in the stuff we had💕

I had boys and they had accidental pees a few times during my stay so I suggest a couple of swaddling blankets, not just one ha ha 
That’s my only lesson learnt for this 3rd baby that I’m now pregnant with when it comes to what stuff to bring 😂

I definitely over packed myself and was so worried I wasn't bringing enough but at the same time too much. I honestly ended up keeping him in the blanket swaddled the entire 24 hrs because of the nurses coming in and the skin to skin while I was nursing him. I imagine incase of an extended stay what you have is a good amount. Also bring extra couple hats of different sizes the hat they put on him at hospital kept falling off 3 out of 4 I brought didn't fit his head and were to small lol.

In case you forget anything take what ever they give you. Clear out the whole room while you’re there. I did that when I had my daughter. They don’t mind you taking whatever with you. Bring an empty bag to take all the diapers and whatever else they let you take.

I had a C-section and was admitted for 2 whole weeks cause I caught pneumonia
Don’t bring diapers, or wipes, or nose bulb, or shampoo or even lotion. 
The hospital provides everything for the baby, eaither pampers or Huggies wipes and diapers, they also provide name brand baby soap which they will give the baby the first bath after delivery and you won’t need to bathe the baby for a week or 2 after they go home just sponge bathe. 
And as far as clothing.  A going home outfit, if it’s cold make sure something warm,  and something small like a onesie and socks and hat to wear in the hospital.. but most likely baby will wear the hat from the hospital and have swaddled in a blanket the entire time: 
Bring a cute onsie if your comfortable.. if you over pack you will regret it later because it’s gonna be a lot to handle

Wayyyy too much. Most times baby is naked because they want you to do skin to skin. The only time they have clothes on is when they leave most likely. That’s a waste of bag space. You really do not need much when you go to the hospital. Going home outfit and stuff to keep baby warm is fine. And a swaddle.

I brought newborn sleeper and 0-3 months sleeper in case he’s a big boy. I also brought a newborn coming home outfit and 0-3 coming home outfit in case. One pair of socks and beanie since it’s winter where I’m from. Oh and of course his blanket, swaddle and pacifier. The first day in the hospital my baby spent his time in a swaddle naked lol. They don’t really need much. I’m hoping we will get to discharge after 24 hours if all is well.
