stop taking progesterone ?

I had 3 days spotting at 5 weeks because of a SCH but it resolved until 9w . the doctor put me on progesterone but todays scan at 13w he said to stop taking progesterone. I’m really afraid to stop taking it in afraid of MC of bleeding again. What would you do in my place? Honestly idk what to do progesterone was my safety net now and i’m panicking rn to stop.

I was in the same shoes as you,  coming from many failed prior pregnancies not knowing why. I was terrified to come off of it at 11wks, especially because I was on such a high dose 3x/day
But there is no need to after the placenta takes over. After 10wks, your placenta is doing what it needs to do and everything else is irrelevant. 
You're 13wks, you're way passed the 10wk mark. You are 1000% safe to stop taking it now 😊 congrats

The placenta takes over at 12 weeks and progesterone supplements are no longer needed at this point; hence having you stop.

I went through many fertility treatments which included progesterone. I have also experienced a number of losses. Around 10 weeks the placenta takes over and can support the baby - prescription progesterone is no longer needed at that point. Anything over 10 weeks is being super cautious. I know it's scary. For me it felt like I was doing something to help and to go off felt like a big risk. My doctor took me off around 10 weeks, assuring me it would be ok. It was. Baby was born perfectly healthy and I had an uneventful pregnancy.
