Camping in the LR?

We seem to be camping in our living room due to easy access of the kitchen (always hungry and thirsty) and baby likes it better. I fall into deep sleep on my bed and I feel like I don’t hear baby crying as fast as I do when I sleep on the couch. Am I the only one???

Giiirl. Let yourself sleep deeply. Baby will be okay if they cry an extra 30 seconds while you wake up.

I’ve been sleeping on the couch with my 3yr old and baby in portable bassinet as well for about two weeks out of the three since she was born. But that was because both girls got sick at the same time and we were getting up every 20-45 minutes to suction out baby noses, do breathing treatments, feed and change baby, give medicine to the toddler, check temperatures, so on, so it was easier to be in the LR with access to the whole house and not wake up my husband who works 12+ hour shifts. He offered to give us three the big bed, but with two kiddos who are having trouble breathing, laying flat in bed wasn’t going to work for us and the living room furniture was a better option.
