How many of y’all stayed 1cm up until labor?

I’ve been 1cm since 36 weeks and I’m 39 now. I’ve had 2 membrane sweeps and neither of them helped with dilating 😩 just had lots of spotting. Anyone else have a similar experience? I feel like my body just isn’t going to dilate beyond this point and I will have to be induced! (My OB doesn’t want me going past 41 weeks bc of my baby’s size)

I was only 1 cm until the day I gave birth. I was at 1cm for 3+ weeks before having my son.

My third I stayed 1cm from 33weeks to when I was induced at 39w6d. I had terrible terrible terrible prodromal labor with him. They admitted me to the hospital like three times because they were sure I was gonna start progressing(I have a history of quick quick labors). Nope, didn’t progress and got induced & he was out in 2hrs from the time they started the meds. Pretty crazy.

I was like that for my first pregnancy and ended up delivering close to 41 weeks (spontaneously not induced). I’m 37 weeks now with #2 and I’m declining any cervical checks at appointments because it caused me to feel like you are right now last time, but it really doesn’t predict how or when labor will go.

So I was at 0cm through to labor. Even with contractions lasting 1-2 min every 3-4 minutes for 6 hours I didn’t dilate. The doctor said I had a stubborn cervix and I ended up needing a foley balloon to technically induce dilation. I started labor naturally, just wouldn’t dilate. Once I got the balloon I went from 0-6 in less than 3 hours.
