Has anyone been told their baby was measuring ahead/big throughout their pregnancy but baby ended up being normal/smaller than expected???

Curious to see if anyone has experienced this… I’ve been told my entire pregnancy my baby has measured a week ahead and was big for her GA. 
My friend was told her entire pregnancy she was measuring a week behind and her baby would probably be around 6 lbs at birth. Well she ended up giving birth at 39 weeks and baby was 7lbs7oz

I had GD and hypothyroidism and was induced at 38 weeks because my daughter was measuring to be 10+ pounds at my growth scan. At 38 weeks and 2 days she was born and was only 8 lbs 3 oz

I measured 2 weeks a head almost my entire pregnancy. I was told baby would be in the 99th percentiles, probably 9-10lbs if not bigger. By the time I delivered I couldn’t stand sideways in a doorway. She was born at 39 weeks and was a teeny little shrimp. The day she came home from the hospital she was 5lbs14oz. She was in the 13th percentile at birth. 
She’s now 3 and is a giant. Like off the growth charts for height and weight. She’s 41 lbs and 42 inches. It’s wild how much she’s grown.

They base the weight off of their length measurements…. I’m 34.5 weeks right now. Baby is measuring in the 93%. They say she weighs close to 6 lbs right now….
But I doubt it. Her daddy is 6’2”. So she is measuring long. And because of that. Per the average length baby vs. weight. She is supposedly measuring ahead or big.
But in reality. The weight is only a guess on their part. 
A baby “X” long on average is “X” lbs.
But not every baby is ‘average’

I’m diabetic so I’m used to measuring big. 
My first was 8lb15oz at 37 weeks. I was induced. 
My second was 7lb12oz at 36 weeks. She came with a roaring thunder on her own after I got a bladder infection. 
Both were healthy but my daughter had fluid in her lungs and couldn’t control her own blood sugar levels so she was in the NICU for 4 days - I went home on day 2 but I drove back and forth to the hospital got feeds as I only lived 15 minutes away.

Me! They were measuring her at around 7 pounds by my 32nd week and were freaking out that she’d be a monster baby, but she was born at 40 weeks at 6lbs 14oz. They can be off.

I measure 2-3 weeks ahead my whole pregnancies (2 of them now). My first was born at almost 41 weeks at 7lbs 4oz. A couple days before I went into labor, my midwife felt baby with her hands and said “average sized baby for sure.” And she was right on because 7.4 is about smack in the middle for a boy at birth! We will see about my current one (37 weeks now). My guess is average again.

Yes. My baby was 2 weeks ahead in my growth scans at 30+ weeks.. he was born at 38 weeks and he was 6lbs 14oz.

My 2nd and 3rd babies were supposed to be well over 7lbs and they were only 6lbs 7oz and 6lbs 10oz. They were both around 1lb smaller than what was expected. That’s why I don’t go off of ultrasound guesstimates. It’s nice to have a guess, but it can be off either way.
