We came home to visit family for a month since he barely was able to get any paternity time off. Baby is 10 months old and still breastfeeds a lot. Baby is not the best sleeper and wakes up a lot so I haven’t even bothered with the idea of going out to see friends and leaving my LO with someone. Tends to need to be nursed back to sleep🫣 anyway, my SO went out tonight with two of his care free cousins to go drink and catch up (Idk if anyone else went but they share many friends in common they all used to party with). My SO said he wouldn’t be out late and was barely gonna drink but here we are 5, almost 6 hours later and I finally texted him since he never even texted to let me know he made it anywhere safely. We always text that we got somewhere safely or otw back home… can I be frustrated and irritated with him about the situation? I have expressed that I am a little jealous he can be away for hours without the baby depending on him and now since we’ve been back he’s been able to hang out with friends/go out care free multiple times and I went once (a block away from where we’re staying!) and was given a bunch of attitude when I came back an hour and a half later…. My SO said he wasn’t mad at me, he was irritated that my friends pushed dinner back so much later than originally planned and I ended up going into baby’s bedtime (since I usually have to be the one to put baby down). I’m fortunate to be a SAHM…but I’m not given the same freedom anymore? I don’t know…

Update: they ended up at a bar, indeed stayed out until it closed, and came back drunk as a skunk.
