after being diagnosed 1cm how long did it take for labor to start???

How soon after 1cm did y’all go into spontaneous labor? I’m 38 weeks and 2 days, and was told Wednesday I’m 1cm open. I know she’s dropped and doctor confirmed this. But I’m not having any contractions. I do get painless Braxton hicks all day every day and I have pelvic pain but that’s about it? Any guesses? I know there’s no way to predict. 
But just curious what y’all’s experience was and what y’all think?

Cervical exams can't tell you when labor will begin. People walk around for weeks at 3-4 cm, people can be fingertip in the office in the morning and delivered by that night. They're valuable if an induction is planned, but theyre just not necessary, unless your provider gives you another reason like cramping or suspected labor. 
Keep moving, try to distract yourself, book something you're looking forward to, babies love ruining plans.

1st baby I had a membrane sweep then my water broke but once I got to the hospital had to be induced because I stopped laboring and I was 2cm for 4wks 
2nd baby I had a placental abruption and had to have a emergency C-section but I was 1cm for 2wks before 
3rd baby had to be induced no way she was gonna come out without help and I was 2cm for 3wks🤧

I was 1 cm at 36 weeks with my last. She was born at 41 weeks exactly 😑 when I got to the hospital after laboring for hours with contractions I couldn’t breath through that were 2 minutes apart for over an hour I was still only 3 cm.

I was dilated 1 cm at 36 weeks & I was induced at 38 weeks for medical reasons, but my cervix never dilated more in that 2 week span.
