When were you allowed to transfer again after live birth?

I got the go ahead to do preliminary testing at 8 month postpartum and start my FET cycle at 9/10m pp; transfer around 10/11m pp. 
I honestly thought I'd have to wait the whole year. Obviously that's not the case. I already had a summer transfer in mind but now that I've been given an earlier green light, I'm enticed and really thinking about going for it. 
Would you transfer earlier if able? If you did transfer for #2 already, when did you do it? 
PSA: before anyone says this, I would have to be (and will be) fully weaned. I also have to pass my very extensive preliminary blood panels, a physical specifically geared towared infertility & a mammogram.

For my office it was 1 year after a vaginal no-complications birth and fully weaned.  I started my preliminary testing at 13 months pp, fully weaned by 14 months and transfer at 16 months.  My kids are exactly 2 years and 1 week apart.  I was very eager to transfer again bc I worried a lot about what would happen if it didn’t work and we had to go through the FET again or (we had 2 embryos left) an entire cycle.  I must admit, I didn’t give any thought though to what being pregnant again would look like and how difficult it would be to take care of my toddler while pregnant.  My second pregnancy was harder than my first and I really didn’t think that through.   I also didn’t think of what healing from birth would be like with a toddler.  Luckily I had a lot of support but for those first few months the baby and toddler just wanted mommy.  I love the age gap I have now (they are 1.5 and 3.5) but pregnancy and the first 6 months or so was really hard mentally and physically.  I truly don’t think there is a wrong answer.  It’s all how you and your partner feel.

I was told a year, but I would for sure go for it earlier if I could.  I ended up getting pregnant at 4 months PP and 7 months PP.  They ended in miscarriage, but then got pregnant again at 10 months PP and he is a year old now.   I had complications, but I almost died with my fresh IVF transfer baby the year before, so it’s just predisposed in me to have trouble🤪 I’d say go for it, whenever you’re able!!!

You can't do a mammogram without being done with breast feeding for 6 months... just an fyi.

I did my second transfer 11 months after my first son. Weaned him and did everything like you did. Just did my third transfer after my second kid at 13 months and again had to have him weaned and all the bloodwork/stuff beforehand to get cleared. Never a guarantee it will work so we try to do them as soon as we can but do like to give it close to a year to let my body recover.

B, ahhh!!!! I didn’t know you were planning??!! So we will be transferring close together?? So exciting!! My clinic actually didn’t tell me specifically but did suggest following up with my OB to make sure things were okay. And she was fine with us transferring just after the first of the year, which would be 11- 12 months post c-section since I didn’t have any complications and carried 2 pregnancies to term. As you know, I didn’t do the SIS, just a vaginal ultrasound, so I wasn’t required to do any other testing. What will you be doing??!

Hi B! I don’t have a good answer because I always have to wait 18 months anyway (c section), but I’ve heard you’re more fertile the earlier you start, so if you have the green light I’d totally go for it! After my son was born I felt super ready (mentally) for another baby by the time I was around 9/10 months. Good luck!💕
