Should I go to L&D?

40+1, FTM mom here and I don’t know when to call it. I have been having contractions lasting 1 minute inconsistency for 5 hours now. They haven’t gained in intensity. 
Got up to go to the bathroom once and I think I felt a little gush of fluid but I couldn’t really tell

Sounds like prodromal or false labor. It's when you have inconsistent (10-45 min apart) contractions that don't increase in pain or frequency. If so, this type of "labor" isn't actually labor at all. It does not dilate you, but it can last for days (it did for me!). I was turned away from the hospital after being in similar labor for 24hrs. If your water breaks, you'll need to go in, but otherwise I'd recommend taking a warm bath and trying to get it to stop since the contractions will only stress and tire you out.

Yes I’d go in ! I believe my waters broke this morning and I went in and am being monitored. If it’s not time, they’ll send you home.

I'd call ahead and see what they say to do but if it was your water your til start to really pick up now
