If this isn’t your first baby are you having a shower, sprinkle, or nothing?

This is my third baby but my first girl. I had a baby shower for my first and nothing for my second. Since our baby stuff has gone through two boys we have to replace a bunch of it. I don’t need a full on shower but kind of want to do a sprinkle. Just invite limited guests but I also feel really stupid having people bring gifts for a third baby. Then I feel like every baby should be celebrated? I don’t know. What would you do or what have you done for babies that weren’t your first?

Fourth baby, first girl. Not doing anything. I didn't do anything with any of my babies, including the first. My sister wanted me to but tbh, situations like that make me so uncomfortable and I didn't want to.

This is baby 2 for me, I won’t do a baby shower this time nor did I last time. Personally I think baby showers are a bit silly but that’s just my opinion.

Well you mentioned you had boys and this is your first girl, so you definitely should do something whether it’s a baby shower or sprinkle ￼ since you will be needing girl items. 💞

We didn’t do anything for baby number two. 
Trust me when I say that even if you don’t have a sprinkle for your girl your friends and family will flood you with baby girl clothes and diapers. Even though I didn’t have a celebration for my second child I still ended up with over 10 boxes of diapers and a million pieces of clothes from friends and family members. 💜

I’m on my third boy, so nothing. I had my first 7 years ago & I had another 8 months ago so I did have a “sprinkle” type event for my 8 month old due to the age gap.. & it was my SO’s first baby so his family wanted to throw him something regardless. But I have all the necessary baby items since I’m having them so close together & plenty of clothes since it’s another boy.

My kids are all 4.5 years apart. I have an 8 year old girl that family threw me shower for (I was also a single mom at the time), a 4 year old son which was my husband’s first bio child and first grandchild on his side so my MIL threw a shower, and baby #3 is a girl, due in May. I didn’t really expect a sprinkle or party or anything but my SIL really wants to throw a diaper party for me and my cousin who’s due in April (we all have the same friends). I only need a handful of things (kept a lot from my other 2). We’ll probably get a couple items ourselves but my mom and MIL will both want to get us/baby a “big” gift as well. 
I understand how you feel awkward throwing yourself a party. Maybe try and hint to a friend or family member that you’d like to celebrate this baby as well. They may not think you’d even want one since you already have 2 kids. I know I wouldn’t think to offer if my friend already had multiple children. It’s worth asking if you think you need/want one.

I’m pregnant with our third, I have one of each already and this is our second girl. I’m doing a sprinkle just so baby can be celebrated but we don’t need or want gifts. Instead we’ll be doing a diaper and wipes raffle and that’s it since we could really use those. I’ll probably do an early afternoon late evening brunch time sprinkle with some donuts and mimosas or something for those not pregnant.
