What would you do?
About a month ago I had an X-ray done on my left shoulder as I was having pain it in for about a month prior. The X-ray shows I have moderate calcification tendinitis of the left rotator cuff. I’m trying to find an orthopedic that accepts Medicaid so I can get the steroid shot and I start physical therapy on Wednesday.
I have a doctors appointment for Wednesday (just my yearly check up) and I am tempted to ask the doctor to write me a note getting me out of work for a few weeks. I am a cashier and my shoulder always starts bothering me at work and I’m afraid it won’t get better if I keep using it (although I try not to use it too much.) However with the holidays coming up I don’t want to leave them short staffed and I’m not sure if my shoulder is a good enough reason. Pain wise it’s okay with ibuprofen but I have limited movement in it (I have a hard time lifting my arm up and I can’t even reach behind me.)
I’m just curious as to what you all would do.
