I had my midwife appointment yesterday and she said my fundal height hadn’t changed since two weeks before. 26cm at 28 weeks still so she’s booked me a growth scan on Tuesday and I have to go in on Monday for monitoring so it’s within 72 hours. I’ve read a lot about the measurement being so inaccurate and can just mean baby is lying differently etc but also that 2cm either way is normal and you need a few weeks measurements to really get a good idea if there’s an issue with growth etc. Also that some places don’t even do fundal height anymore as it’s so unreliable? So I’m wondering why she’s immediately booked me in for a growth scan after one measurement thats still just 2cm under where is normal…..and they looked a bit concerned tbh, didn’t say much but didn’t really reassure that much just said she’d book me in etc which worried me more than anything else! Anyone else been through similar? Baby is moving lots so that’s all good! I’m in the uk fyi.
