Health and pregnancy
I had a really easy, straight forward pregnancy and birth with my first child 5 years ago.
Much to my surprise at my first appointment yesterday at 8 weeks pregnant, my blood pressure was sky high (152/101). I was urgently recommended to get retested on two occasions at my GP as soon as possible for possibly getting on medication to control it.
I’m scared out my mind because I know the risk factors with high blood pressure - but I’m unsure what I’m doing wrong, we’re an active family, eat well, don’t add salt to our food, drink enough and sleep well and so on. Maybe medication will just be the only step?
Just need a rant and some support I think!
