Irregularly long period

A year and a half ago when I had my son I had my tubes tied and I had an IUD put in only because my past history with periods was very irregular. For the first 8 months I bled sometimes for two weeks to sometimes a month to sometimes two days. It was always random. On November 18 2022 I got my period, and I still have it. It’s light and brownish/red but it just won’t stop bleeding. I’m going to be calling my doctor Monday to schedule an appointment but I’m just wondering if anyone has dealt with this kind of experience before or if anyone has any guidance. Thank you.
