Vanishing Twin Syndrome?

Wondering if this is common? Staying hopeful. Went into the er due to bleeding and was told to get a D&C Bc I’m miscarrying but is it possible I lost one baby and not the other? 7 1/2 weeks btw hoping for the best

That’s very common some women never even noticed they were having twins because they miscarry the second baby very early on their pregnancy

The other baby should have had a heart beat at 7.5 weeks, was there a hb? If not go back in a week to be sure

Yes it could be just that you lost one. You could also have a small subchorionic hemorrhage which is reason enough to lose one twin if it’s under their placenta and they don’t get blood flow. SCH usually resolve on their own but definitely go see your OB for another scan and tell her what they told you.
