Registry for second baby?

I am expecting my second baby. My son will be almost 3 when his brother is born. Someone recently asked me if I would be making a registry for this baby. I did keep almost everything from when my son was a baby but they asked well what did you want new for this one. Is it normal to have a registry for your second baby? I don’t want to be tacky! Lol

I have one as a checklist for myself and to get the completion discounts. I won’t be giving it to anyone but it’s there if they took the time to search my name if they really wanted to access it. But it’s more so I can track what I buy, prices and get the 20% discount lol

A friend of mine had a baby shower and registry for her 4th son (3rd in 3.5 years). She was surrounded by loved ones who wanted to spoil them all despite her having everything they needed. I think it just depends on your friendship and family dynamics. I’d hope you have supportive loved ones who just want to celebrate with you! If there’s stuff you need, make that registry. It’s in no way tacky.

I am doing a registry but it’s going to be much smaller bc I saved a lot too. There are some things we’ll need new (diapers, wipes, pacifiers) so it’s not completely pointless and people always ask.

I did. Same gender as my first but there is a 6 year gap between the two so there was a lot I needed. My SO’s mom ended up throwing me a baby shower so the registry came in handy, but even without other people purchasing me stuff it was helpful just for myself to track what I got and what I still needed to get. Most sites/companies will give you a discount for your remaining items after a certain date too.

I don’t think registries for baby 2 are typical. For my second I made a registry on Amazon but kept it private for myself and then just bought the things I needed at a discount.
