When taking a combination birth control (Loestrin), when is it considered taking the pill late? I’ve been taking it at 5pm and only allow 5:30pm be my latest of taking it.
But my question is, how late does it take for it to risk pregnancy? I’ve heard hours but I want to be sure.

Combination pills have a two hour window for perfect use. After that, it’s technically considered “late” & typical use/91%-92% effective. That said, u have up until 12 hours until it’s considered a “missed” pill, in which u should follow ur pill pamphlet’s instructions for missed pills. So, if ur taking it between 5 & 5:30 everyday, then that’s perfect use/99.7% effectiveness & chances of pregnancy are extremely slim.

Hell no. I was on lo loestrin for years and I’d take it at all times of the day. The insert in the package didn’t say it had to be on-the-dot same time back when I took it.

In technical speaking terms, if you take it at 5:00 but sometimes take it at 5:30, it’s technically late. Textbook definition it’s late. 
Couldn’t tell you what your pregnancy risk is. Every woman is different. Every woman ovulates differently. Some ovulate almost immediately and some don’t. 
I recommend sticking to one specific time — otherwise you’re playing with fire. 
Also, personal story, but I was on Loestrin and often took it late. Occasionally hours late. No accidental pregnancies, thankfully. Just some wonky withdrawal bleeds.
