Bacterial vaginosis

Had gotten diagnosed with bv. They gave me metronidazole and it seemed to be working great and I thought it went away a week after the treatment was over and everything was going great... I started having the same symptoms. Now I never had the fishy odor. It was normal odor only irritation down there and overactive white discharge. I was about to have my period and I was actually excited for it to kinda help fix my vag pH balance and all it ended up being is 3 days of some brown goop coming out. Day 2 of that had thought it was my period since it was kinda mixed in with blood but by day 3 it was back to brown and now day 4 nothing. Anyone else deal with this kind of stuff. I'm of course gonna get in touch with the doctor but it's Christmas day today so I'll have to wait till tomorrow.
