I found out at my 8 week ultrasound there is no baby. A silent miscarriage called blighted ovum. 
First test Nov 23rd 
Second test Dec 23rd.
Does the line darken heavily like this for blighted ovum? 
Shouldn’t my hcg be decreasing if there’s no baby? 
I was told to schedule a D&C at my ultrasound appt.. just worried by my dark test.

With a blighted ovum, your levels will continue to increase until your body realizes there's something wrong & starts the miscarriage process. I'm sorry for your loss ☹️

So by law before doing the D&C they have to do a follow up ultrasound to confirm no viable pregnancy. Yes you can have increase HCG levels with a blighted ovum or MMC. These things suck & it’s ok to be in denial but if it’s truly not a viable pregnancy you don’t want the gestational sac sitting in your uterus for too long-it could cause a serious infection. On the bright side-once you’ve had a MC there’s no increase risk of having another miscarriage (I am living proof) 
Regardless of this outcome your gonna be ok 🙏🏻🌈❤️

I had a blighted ovum, disgnosed just before 12 weeks. My HCG levels were in the 160K range. I ended up getting a D&C a few weeks later because I didn’t pass the sac on my own. Sorry you’re going through this 💕

Definitely bring that up with your doctor before you get the dnc, ask for another ultrasound

Did they do blood tests? See if your HCG is going up or down. This early on it’ll give u more data than an ultrasound
