What should I expect from IVF? How long? ETC ❤️

Hey ladies so my partner and I suffer from severe male factor infertility and we are now moving on to IVF, I am wondering what the process will be step by step? and how long to expect this to take? also what the prices will be? I have gateway health Insurance so I’m sure they won’t cover much but what are the ideal prices and do I pay in increments or how does this go? Thank you in advance ❤️ we are feeling a little down since we got the news we can’t conceive naturally but understand this is apart of our journey

Each clinic is different. My clinic from start to egg retrieval was August 2021-April 2022. That included 3 IUI rounds though since I hadn’t tried that yet. Cost depends on where you live. Some states in the US allow insurance coverage of fertility treatments, some countries cover it as well. My state does not and the total so far has been $30,000+ between the IUIs, testing, failed egg retrieval, medications, and the upcoming frozen embryo transfer (embryo donation). From actual start of medication to first fresh transfer, if the retrieval and embryo making work, it takes 7-9 weeks and then an extra 1.5 weeks to see if it even sticks. There’s a lot of ifs, but it’s worth for a lot of people, or so I have heard. I hope you are able to do it successfully!

Hi❤️ my husband and I also have the same diagnosis. I’m so sorry 😢. Timeline depends on your doctor and if you need to get any tests done yourself. But normally from start to finish is about 4 months or so. Between the egg retrieval, genetic testing and the transfer.
