Did you ever leave your nursing baby that won’t take a bottle?

If you did then at what age? My baby doesn’t take a bottle. I really wanna go out for an hour or so to run errands myself but I’m super anxious. What if I get stuck in traffic or don’t make it back in time and  baby is crying bad for milk but won’t take a bottle? Seriously so nervous abt everything. Anyones else baby only nurse? What do you do?

Relax! Your baby won't allow themself to starve. The babe might refuse the bottle for a few hours and be upset, but if they get hungry enough they will take a bottle. All 3 of my kids refused bottles when I was home, but would take them at daycare and from my husband if I'm gone long enough. My youngest (6months) takes a bottle at daycare with no issue and gives my husband crap half the time and will just wait until I get home to eat.

I personally never did but if I were going to I would definitely take a week or so to try and get baby to take a bottle just once a day before you decide to go out so that way you know that if you leave baby with Dad or babysitter if they're hungry enough they will absolutely take a bottle of their breast milk.
Make sure that you have a bottle with a nipple that mimics a breast or bottle specifically made for a nursing babies and that will help a lot.

The cup is more fit for lactating babies rather than a bottle! Try introducing your own milk for your baby in a small cup now and then and then teach your partner/person that will help you how to do it. There are several YouTube videos. They might take it better than the bottle.

My son refused bottles but went to daycare 🥴. There were days when he would only have an ounce or two when we were apart 6-7 hours. He eventually gave in and accepted bottles, but he was never real excited about them. That was for work, for errands I tried to just keep it an hour or two so I could make it back for a feed. I didn’t want to pump to replace a feed anyway unless I really had to.

Around 7-8 months. I would nurse right before leaving and then table food was an option at that age so they were fine. I’m a SAHM so it wasn’t often but it was fine when I did it that way!

When my daughter was 8 months old I started routinely leaving her with a sitter during the day for a few hours at a time. By then the nursing sessions were a little more spaced out and she wouldn’t be “starving” because she could have some solids and water until I got back. Up to that point it was a bit rough, I felt very rushed whenever I left the house without her.

I leave mine with my mom for no more than 3 hrs. Cause she eats every three hours. But it’s enough time to get a massage, nails done, coffee with a friend or even grocery shop

I had to leave my babe because I was having surgery. It was same day surgery but I was gone for about 5 hours. He ended up taking 2 bottles while I was gone. We weren't sure how he would do because he had never done well with taking one at all. Least to say once I got home, he was cluster feeding for awhile 😂
