Ok ladies, hear me out!

Iris

So, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since July 2022. However, I noticed that we were not having sex very often, and if we did it was only once or twice in my ovulation window. I’m 34, overall healthy, don’t smoke, drink or use drugs. I started phentermine during this time and have lost 12lbs. My PCP said it would help if I lost weight when trying to concieve. Anyway, the reason I am here to vent is because, I think I may be finally pregnant! I’ve calculated my ovulation window, average cycle dates, days that I had sex, and this is what I found.

Ovulation Window (based on three different apps) is 12/24-01/01/23. My period started either 12/16 or 12/17 with an average cycle of 26-28 days. According to several apps, my ovulation days are anywhere between 12/27-12/31. Now, I’ve had sex unprotected, no pulling out (sorry for the details!) on the following days: 12/21, 12/24, 12/26, 12/29, and 01/01/23.

Call me crazy and obsessive, I know, but for the last 3 days I’d say, I’ve had some uncomfortable pelvic pain, sort of like dull cramps. And I’ll I want to do is sleep. Now, my appetite hasn’t really changed (remember I’m on phentermine, so I don’t have much of an appetite) and my boobs don’t feel that tender, just a little. I took a test today, but it’s obviously WAY early.

I think this may be the time we actually got it right. What do you guys think?

When do you recommend taking a test? Like the earliest I can take it?

Oh and to early . Any symptoms you have wouldn't be pregnancy related.

It’s too early to have any symptoms related to pregnancy. You likely won’t feel anything related to pregnancy until the 7th and then probably a positive test MAYBE as early as the 8th or 9th. A good rule of thumb is that if your symptoms are from pregnancy, than the hormone that’s causing them would be detectable on a test. I’m not saying you’re not pregnant! Just that you need to wait a little longer before there could be any real evidence that you are. Best of luck!

Do you have an update ? I would also be talking to your doctor about taking phentermine while pregnant as I believe it’s not a pregnancy safe medication , sending baby dust to you !! 🥰
