Full bladder for anatomy scan?

I have my anatomy scan in 2 hours and I forget if they told me to have a full bladder or not and I can’t get them in the phone right now. So do you ladies know if it’s necessary to have a full bladder for the anatomy ultrasound?

I didn’t need a full bladder.
It’s best to go with one and they will ask you to empty it if you don’t need it.

I had a full bladder and they made me go pee because they said it was to fill. after I did they got better images of the baby

Never had to have a full bladder with any US. I always heard you had to. But being hydrated is a must.

For a transabdominal ultrasound, you’ll need a full bladder. It helps for the tech and radiologist to better see during the scan.

If I remember right they told me full for abdominal ultrasounds so that would include the anatomy scan.

I was told it didn't matter because the baby is big enough to see clearly at that point. The only time I was ever asked to have a full bladder was my first ultrasound at 7 weeks

I only needed a full bladder for the embroidery transfer. They wanted an empty one for everything else.

My dr told me they wanted a full bladder for it. They actually told me an exact amount of water to drink & I was thinking they were crazy to think I could drink that much water 40 mins before my ultrasound & not pee my pants lol. It was something crazy like 30+ oz. I did not end up doing that. I did drink some water but a normal amount.

By 20 weeks it shouldn't matter too much as the baby is higher. The reason a full bladder is needed earlier is to push baby up, where they are so small and low down behind the pelvis.
