When would you schedule?

We are going to be scheduled for C-section but get to choose between 37-39! I’m just about over this pregnancy! It’s my last one, but the heartburn and other pains I’ve been having has been making it super miserable! They’re estimating him at 5lb 9oz at 35wks and 3 days

Unless there’s a medical emergency and baby needs to be out sooner, you should at MINIMUM wait until 38 weeks. 39 is better, though, because lung development is more complete.

I was induced in my last pregnancy at 37 weeks ended in a section and he's 2.5yrs now and still suffers terribly with his chest and breathing problems when he gets poorly (which is often) and his GP believes it's due to him coming earlier! And I believe this too!
In the UK we don't tend to have planned cesareans until around 39+weeks, obviously medical concerns with the mum and baby come first but if there is no medical reason to have a section that early I would wait 🥰🥰

I would aim for 39 weeks! I had my first as a scheduled C-section at 40 weeks because we wanted to give him time to turn from breech positioning which he didn’t. My second was scheduled for 39 weeks on the dot and my current is scheduled for 39+4.

I am having one at 38 weeks baby is estimated is between 3 to 4 pounds I am having slow growth (other than slow growth baby okay) so they would like the baby out but the breech position is why we have to wait. The earlier a c section is the more chance of breathing problems because of this my doctor recommended waiting. If it been a vaginal birth which I had with my first less chance of breathing problems he was 3 pounds when born and was born at 34 weeks with no breathing issues.
