How often do you talk to your boyfriend?

I started seeing this man about 2 months ago and 3 weeks ago we decided not to see other people. I know we both work and are busy but it seems he doesn’t reach out to me or schedule plans. He forgets to respond to my text for days at a time and only remembers when I text him again a couple days later asking if he wants to make plans. He never calls me. We only talk if I reach out. We have a big age gap. He’s 40 and I’m 28. I’m not sure if that has something to do with it. Am I out of pocket to bring something like this up? It just seems unsustainable. I’d like to hear from someone at least once a day. Is that a lot to ask? I don’t want to seem needy but I feel this means I’m not being taken seriously.
