Should I have a baby shower?

I know it is typically taboo to have a baby shower if the second baby is the same gender as the first. With they being said, my first son is turning 7 in May. I am due with my second boy on June 20th. Should I have a shower or does the look bad? I don’t have any baby stuff since I haven’t had a baby in 6 years, but feel weird having a shower for a second boy. What should I do?

I am having my third girl . 
I didn’t have a baby shower because of Covid with my second but my friends and family still surprised me with a drive by shower . I had everything saved from my first so that was just nice little cute surprises . 
But then I got rid of everything as I thought I was done . 
So even tho my girls are 5&2 I’m doing a full on baby shower lol and honestly looking forward to it as this is my last FOR SURE. If people don’t wanna come they certainly don’t have to .

I don’t think it would be bad at all! Do what you want to do, put whatever you want to put on your registry, but have realistic expectations regarding what people will purchase. If you register on Amazon, whatever you don’t get from your registry you get a discount on if you purchase. I’m sure there will be some that can’t wait to spoil you and others that will be more modest on the gifting bc they will assume you’re older now and not a FTM and maybe more financially stable. I don’t think there’s anything wrong w celebrating each baby. 
It’s like a second marriage after a divorce. People have second weddings all the time! Some decide to gift like it’s your first and some are less generous but you have every right to celebrate.
