Post birth - bleeding / discharge / smell

Hi! I just had my first baby on Wednesday (Feb 8). I’ve noticed since delivery that the smell of the blood / other remnants is quite strong. Not necessarily foul, but not nice lol. I was wondering 1 if this is typical after vaginal delivery and 2 if anyone else had the transition from bright red to literal yellow brown discharge.

Thanks in advance!! I’ve never had a baby so I don’t know :)
