what does it mean??

so there’s a school dance for my school coming up in may, and it’s called semi. i don’t have a date, so i figured i’d ask my friend nathaniel even though he doesn’t really want to go. so on friday at school i said to him, “hey nathaniel, so i don’t have a date to semi, and i know that you don’t want to go, but it’s your senior year. i really think you should go and i really want you to be there. will you please be my date?” and he answered with “probably. i’ll think about it.” what does that mean?? is he ever going to answer me? is he gonna say yes?
