I agree 100%. At first I was hoping for a girl and got sad when I found out the gender. Little by little I got happy and happier and discovered the gender does not matter at all.
Now that my baby is here he’s my everything. His dad is not a person who shows love very much, and I am the opposite I like for love to be shown. That is why I agree with this I needed my baby boy to feel love.

A daughter can show you real meaning of love just as much as a son would. Gender disappointment is a real thing but doesnt justify whether your needing love or maturity.

I have both boys and girls and sorry but I think thats silly, especially that quote. Both sexes are equally loving especially newborns, as they get older their love of snuggles and needing their mommy has more to do with personality than gender. I also dont think a child should have a 'job' of filling a void, if youre unhappy with your marriage you cant fill that lack by having a child or you may subconsciously raise him to be codependent eg the crazy mother in laws who always want to be their son's #1 love and priority even above his wife. So be careful of the notion that he was meant to give you the love youre lacking and thats why hes a boy. Im so happy you love your son, youd feel the same if it was a girl too, babies are just awesome and such a blessing.

My stepmom’s first kid is a boy and she has so many people who love her and people she loves. She does need to be more mature.

I have 2 boys and they say if a moms first child is a boy it was so she could know what true love feels like, I agree. I had my 1st son at a time when me and my husband never got along and I felt alone all the time. Now he's my little best friend
