My MIL called me a stupid fucking bitch

My husband met his therapist Tuesday. My husband has a lot of problems. He's a sweet person but randomly loses his mind and acts crazy. He has went outside yelling and throwing our plates at a tree and breaking them until the cops got called my neighbors. He has gone in the shower in cold water just crying and screaming and he doesn't remember doing these things.

He has a huge memory Gap from his senior year of high school. He forgot that entire year. His family won't tell him what happened that was clearly so traumatic he blocked it out and they constantly say it's better he doesn't know and it will just make him worse. We had dinner with his family and he mentioned seeing a therapist and everyone got quiet. When my husband went with his brother to play video games his mom said to me "Gets the hell do you think you're doing? She's whisper yelling to me that I need to stop this. I said I recommended Therapy and he went for it. She started saying she's his mother and she knows him better than anyone and she knows him fucking around trying to open his memories will fuck him up more. I said he's already being affected by whatever happened. And was like "Ok well him knowing isn't gonna fix anything." We argued about this until she yelled "MY SON REALLY MARRIED A STUPID FUCKING BITCH!!!" My husband was asking what was going on and I was trying not to cry and said I'm going home. I didn't even bother talking about it in the car
