Is 17 too young to have sex toys

My son keeps taking my iphone charger because he lost his. I went into his room to ask him for it and told him to stop taking mine because he has a job and can buy one. He told me it was in his drawer and as I'm opening it he yells "No bottom drawer" but it was too late and I opened up the top and found an extreme number of sex toys. I said "Wtf!" And he says "I can explain." I wait and then he says "Actually no I can't." I asked where did he even get these and he said "I have a job like you said." I asked why he had these and he said "Well I haven't dated anyone in like almost a year." And I said nevermind. Is 17 too young to own a sex toy. Let alone MULTIPLE because I'm pretty sure most sex toy sites and shops want you to be 18.
