What am I doing wrong?

Hi moms, we had our 6 month old check up today. My son’s weight dropped to the 10th percentile. He was 49 percentile at 2 months, then 27 percentile at 4 months and now dropped to 10. He’s EBF, feeds every 2-3 hours around the clock and has at least 6 wet diapers a day, usually more. After feeds he seems content. His height is following the growth curve though. Any advice?

As long as his height and weight are following us OWN growth curve there is nothing to worry about. Those percentage charts are more formula based than anything. And doctors are not breastfeeding knowledgeable. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Don't stress, eat cake, drink plenty of water. Make sure you are getting enough nourishment, your body is awesome at passing on everything that baby needs. 
My babies all dropped percentiles too. My family are big (except me), my husband and his family are small so it's just that we have small children, even though they were on the larger side when they were born. 
Seriously though, make sure you are eating plenty, you need more calories now than when you were pregnant. So eat whenever you are hungry.

If doc isn’t concerned, you shouldn’t be. My babe has lost 10 percentile points for weight at every visit. The doc doesn’t care. He’s a healthy, happy chap still growing and hitting all his milestones.

Is his doctor concerned? Have you started food yet? Maybe see a lactation consultant to see how much he’s actually getting now.
