How to stop vaping?

I’ve been a constant vaper for 3 years now and I’m currently 7w1d and want to quit but I’m extremely addicted. What can I do?

Hey! I was very addicted to vaping too! Then found out I was pregnant! I kept telling myself I’ll just limit my usage, but really couldn’t. I kept just hitting it as much as I ever did. So I told myself “I’ll wait until 7 weeks and stop” 7 weeks hit and I threw away my vape, and it was honestly the best way for me to quit. So maybe pick a week and throw the vape away? The first like week is dog shit without it lol. But afterwards you get better and better without it. You will still have the urge to want to hit a vape especially when you see one but you gotta stay strong for baby. Hope this helps at all!! (I’m 10+3 today)

You just stop. It’s the only way IMO. I’ve cold turkeyed cigs after smoking for 7 years when I found out I was pregnant with my second baby. After I had him I switched to vaping & I stopped as soon as I found out I was pregnant with my third. I was very addicted to both cigs & vaping, but I just knew it was something I had to do for my babies to be healthy, so I made the decision & stuck with it.

Best thing to remember is that it isn’t just you anymore . Every hit your hurting your baby. And god forbid soemthing went wrong you would blame yourself and over what? Smoking a stupid vape that can have life long consequences for your baby. It’s just bigger than your urge to smoke. I’m 5 weeks and just quit weed and cigs cold turkey, I feel the cape it more addictive though but I’ve never smoked one. Just realize what you want more , a hit off the vape or a healthy baby? I would find some things to keep you busy for a few days and just throw it away. Once you get over the first 4 days I find you kinda get over that emotional I need it hump and then it becomes easier.

When I smoked cigarettes for a short period I used a vape with 0 percent nicotine to help wean me off. It's like you need the hand to motion. It helped and I was off of that in a week. I would try that. I smoked for almost 10 years. 16 to 25 and quit when I found out I was pregnant. Never picked it back up and now pregnant with my second. You can do this!

When I smoked, I just stopped once I found out. It’s a lot easier than it seems. It’s mostly in our heads. Once you can get past the mental aspect of it, it’s not hard. Now I can’t imagine smoking, but I was a smoker for a really long time. There are meditation things to help you release your mind from it.

You can stop cold turkey or slowly limit your vaping until you can stop completely. I’m not sure if this is an option but you could also try nic gum and patches but I would also talk to your doc to see if they can give you better advice :)
