So I got braces off back in 2013 and I had the bonded wires put on my teeth well fast foward to now, my wires are breaking and causing problems because I can't brush/floss properly. Dentist said it would be better to get the wires removed and get a removable retainer instead. When I first got my braces off I had a hawley retainer but I didn't wear it enough so now it doesn't fit in between my molars. Im wodnering for those that have had braces and have a retainer what did you get? Which is better in the long run? Hawley or invisalign? Im looking for durability and effectiveness. I've heard the invisalign need to be replaced every year which I cannot afford. But I also want something that will keep my teeth in place.
